Additional Repeater Info:
Modes of Operation:
The K6SAC repeater can be used with traditional Analog FM signals or Yaesu Digital Sytem Fusion signals. It is able to operate in either mode through Automatic Mode Select (AMS), which enables the repeater to recognize and retransmit whichever type of signal it hears. When operating in digital System Fusion mode the repeater is configured for Voice Wide (VW) which prioritizes voice quality by using the entire 12.5 KHz bandwidth for digital voice rather than using half for data.
Linking:
The K6SAC repeater is connected full time to the analog AllStar network and users are able to also link the repeater to the Wires-X network. These connections are made through the internet using Voice Over IP (VOIP) and allow the repeater to be accessed by phones, other repeaters, conference rooms, and hubs. AllStar and Wires-X are two distinctly different protocols and networks. For illustrative purposes picture these networks as two seperate spider webs, each connecting various devices to one another. These webs are seperate from one another, and the K6SAC repeater like most other repeaters cannot connect to both networks at the same time. The K6SAC repeater has a different identifyer for each network.

Wires-X Node: To be determined (coming soon)
* Terminoology Side Note: System Fusion refers to Yaesu's proprietary digital mode and encoding methodology used in the digital signals of their radios, which is based off open source mode C4FM. Wires-X refers to Yaesu's internet linked voice over IP (VOIP) network which connects repeaters, nodes, and rooms globally.
